News internship applications are now being accepted at KCCI-TV in Des Moines. Interested college students can email their application materials to kcooney@hearst.com before 5 p.m. Sept 14. Absolutely no applications arriving after the deadline will be considered.
Applicants should be persons who:
- Are Journalism majors (or emphasizing journalism at a college without a Journalism major) with a broadcasting or Internet/convergence emphasis.
- Have Junior or Senior status
- Will earn academic credit for internship (Mandatory)
Other notes:
- Internships are not paid.
- Applicants should be available for 16 hours per week.
- Single Semester and academic year (9 month) internships are available.
We will conduct interviews with all applicants. Those who are not able to do a face-to-face interview can interview via phone or Skype.
