General Assignment Reporter, North-Central Iowa

General assignment/lifestyles reporter. 


The Daily Freeman-Journal, an award-winning North Central Iowa daily community newspaper, is seeking a full-time general assignment/lifestyles reporter for its news staff. 
Duties will include covering education and local government, feature stories, taking photos, assisting with layout, design and the daily tasks to produce the newspaper, both in print and online. 
Strong emphasis on using social media platforms. 
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or a writing-related field, although candidates with writing experience are encouraged to apply. Competitive full benefits package.
