Are you a digital journalist looking for a place to stretch your limits and try new things? The Ames Tribune in Ames, Iowa, has a great job opening for the right person. We are looking for an experienced multimedia journalist to fill the newly created position of digital reporter/producer.

You'll join a small, hard-working, award-winning newsroom and focus all your talent and energy on creating compelling content for the Tribune's websites and mobile apps. Job will require reporting, writing, still and video photography and editing, multimedia storytelling, digital quality con- trol, social media management, and coordinating with colleagues in and outside the newsroom. You'll stay on top of trends and developments in digital technology and use them to create content and build audience.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in journalism with an emphasis on multimedia and considerable experience covering breaking news and creating digital content. You'll know your way around common content management systems, audio and video editing software, database and map creation, social media platforms, and whatever the next new thing is.

Ames is a college town about 30 miles north of Des Moines. We have a small-town quality of life with a big-city array of cultural and recreational opportunities. It's a great place to live.
